The game “Age of Conan” was released in 2006 by Funcom, and is set in the fictional world of Hyboria. The game is an open-world massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that features both questing and player versus player combat. After nine years, Age of Conan has just recently shut down for good on November 17th, 2015. This might be surprising to some because this game was critically acclaimed when it first launched. It was rated a 9.2/10 on GameSpot back then as well as receiving numerous other awards.
But even though most people played it for only a few months or at most a year, they still have one thing in common: the feeling of nostalgia.
